Marans
Marans are most well known for their dark brown eggs. Many also lay heavily speckled eggs.
Marans are a medium sized bird with lightly feathered legs. Our birds are relatively calm and brave and are good foragers.
The recognized color varieties of Marans are Black copper (most common), White, and Wheaten
We raise Wheaten and Blue Wheaten, Silver and Blue silver Marans. The Blue Wheatens, and Silvers are all project varieties.
