Rosa

Rosa is a 28 year old Paint horse and dam of Durango. Yes this is a recent photo from 2020. She is mostly retired other than packing kids around to teach them how to ride. She has packed my dad on miles of trails, and packed me through the barrel and pole pattern numerous times and once placed first in a youth showmanship class. She has also been in numerous Christmas parades.

She is a quiet, no nonsense horse (no idea where Durango's personality came from he is basically the opposite) and is very talented at looking at you like you are stupid.

Cheyanne

Cheyanne is a 18 year old Walkaloosa who trots and has no spots, but she is pretty to look at anyway! She is broke to ride but mostly hangs out for pets and ear scratches. She also is literally scared of her shadow if it passes across the barn wall, it is quite comical. We owned Cheyanne's mother and have had her since birth.

Sundance

Sundance is a 17 year old solid paint horse out of my first childhood horse, who was a QH. His half brother to Durango. He also has the ugliest front right foot you ever saw on a horse and wears a special shoe that resembles a tennis shoe.

Needless to say he is pasture décor! He is actually broke to ride, though he will never pack anyone again. He is however perfectly capable of being super nosey about absolutely everything and loves belly scratches.

Durango

Durango is a very rambunctious 16 year old paint gelding. Durango and Sundance have their own FB all about their hoof problems. We refer to him as a pasture ornament since he can't be ridden. He wears a cast, called Equi-cast, on his left front foot all the time and does very well. We have had Durango since birth and he is our problem child who is always getting into trouble. He is beyond goofy and loves life.

Zippy

Zippy is a quick, agile 15 year old Quarter Horse and my best riding horse. She loves to work cows, knows the barrel and pole pattern, and is a wonderfully brave trail horse. She will also go over a horse sized teeter-totter. She is a sweet heart and tries her heart out at anything you ask of her.

I have plans to raise foals from her as soon as we find a stallion we like well enough.
